Uh Parry I disagree with you.

www.carreonassociates.com has good information about wage garnishments in their credit library.

Child support payments come first before any judgment creditor. Child support payments can go up to 50 to 60% of earnings. However from what I read and understand unsecured judgment creditors (meaning you) can only take at maximum 25% of wages after taxes and that if there are other judgment creditors before you, they will take priority. If he goes bankrupt again depending on when he last went bankrupt, you are out of luck. So once the first judgment creditor gets paid, the second steps in line for his 25% and so on until all is paid.

In your state civil codes, they should have the judgment procedure, the garnishment procedure and what you can do.

You might not be able to get paid depending on the state it is in because some states do not allow garnishments and homes are exempt.

Please look up your civil code at your courthouse and get the information there. Some judgments will never be collected.
