You do need to speak with both attorneys. A bankruptcy can hold up divorce proceedings, but its more likely the bankrutpcy will be held up because of the divorce. This is because of the division of assets. You really would be better off getting your divorce done, the asset division completed, THEN file for bankruptcy. I suspect that's the advice you'll end up with anyway.
