Its against the law (FDCPA) for them to cause you to incur cost/expense for THEIR collection activities. Soooo.. if you want to rack up violations, hit the answer button and put the phone in your pocket for a few minutes, then hang up - they just cost you minutes = money = illegal ! If your cell provider itemizes incomeing calls, including the number that called you, you've got ample documentation of their illegal activities. On the other hand, its a huge annoyance. Getting your number changed will stop it as long as you're certain your cell provider keeps your info private. If you MUST call a CA, do so from a pay phone !
