But it wouldnt be fraud if you sold some non-exempt assets(at fair market value) and used the proceeds to buy exempt assets ,would it?Say your house needs repair,and you sold something non-exempt to fix the house(and it wouldnt put the house value over the exemption amount).Why would that be fraud?
