house and bankruptcy/happened to us-take note

someone below was asking about a house and BK. we messed up cause we had to re affirm any loans we wanted to keep..ie;car house. but we were told if we didnt list them on the BK..they werent a part of it. WRONG. the house people took it anyways...quit sending us bills for years and started foreclosure. tech they got it. we ended up renting frm them month to month and one month we missed they could kick us out. i had no clue what was goin on or why for months. a payment would be like 10 days late and here came a eviction. over and over. asked citifinancial..(now u know why i hate that place)..who said oh there is no prob the computer musta messed up. WRONG. LIES. i finally figured out what they had done..and they upped our interest to 5% compounded daily. so we re-fied and paid them off, legal fees and all, they kept charging us for it. it was a huge mess. i recommend a lawyer and know the laws also. that was the only mess we got into with bk. the lawyer was not on the ball..at all. speaking only for citifinancial..do not miss ONE Payment while goin thru BK. they will not send a bill..legally they cant. and they wont ever restart it cause to them u stay in perpetual BK. go figure! (if u call u must speak to only the BK dept, been there done that for years on these people) u really gotta be careful with houses and cars. a item not even claimed in the BK will still end up on it. and they will come after u for fees..and anything they can. they (citi) have a 30 day thing for the judge to sign the papers and of course the judge didnt. lawyer said it would cost more to fight it than let it go. be warned!!! be educated!!! DNA-dont trust anyone. u can lose ur house easily without meaning to.
