Must get deletions -- please help

I am sending "not mine" dispute letters to all 3 CRA's about 4 accounts that my spouse obtained with my info. All of them are charge off's as of mid '03. No CA's appear on my CR's but a sift inqu was done in June 03. Is this the right thing to do? No one has contacted me yet but I do know on the Citi account that it is with CA working for Citi. Does marriage mean I'm obligated to pay or is it reasonable to assume that with enough effort and the correct approach that these idiots will remove this stuff off of my CR's and go after the person who is responsible for the debt. I do not live in a comm. prop state.
