Sounds like this guy severely violated the FDCPA. He can't threaten to do anything he can't do legally and/or anything he doesn't intend to do. Set up your phone to record his threats and let him know he's being recorded next time he calls. He'll either hang up or stay on but not use threats. If he's stupid enough to use threats while being recorded, you've got enough ammo to sue HIM. Also, if the company owes him money, in no way can he freeze your personal accts. And he most likely can't legally freeze your business accounts. Realize that threats and harrasment are the stock-in-trade of the collection agency. Has this dude even sent you a letter re the debt like he's supposed to? At the very least I would send him a limited Cease and Desist, i.e. he can only contact you through mail, and nail him if he violates the C & D, which it sounds like he might.
