I understand well enough, perhaps you have more experience working as a collection agent than I do.

I know in my experience that time can and does change things for people and often very quickly. One day they are un employed and the next week they have a great job again.

The people that do actually want to settle think of me first when they have the funds available. The reason being
1. They do NOT want to be in collections.
2. I have offered an ear for perhaps months and have established a trust with them. They want this to end and move on with their lives.

J Kelly, your situation was an EXTREME CASE as you had a lot of debts over the average amount.

Most of the people I deal with do not have it that bad as you. Believe it or not most people I talk to want to pay on their charge off debts. They want a fair, honest settlement and I provide this for them.
They get complete closure as I stick with them from start to finish.

I had someone send me flowers due to my patience and kindness with them and their situation.
