Neo makes a good point. OC's have much more leeway regarding scumbag collection tactics. That is, if they perform their dirty little deeds using in-house corporate staph.
The other side might try to claim this freedom from FDCPA strictures and they might prevail. However they did farm out the chore to 'collections professionals', as their staph was unavailable. A result of their huddling in the dumpster, swilling pop wine, smoking Lestoil (r), the better to have a circlejXXX-seminar on the exciting subject of 'advanced collection techniques'.
