This is the way it works.
First they file a law suit against you.(the court has no record that they REALLY did this) then you would have a designated amount of time to answer the law suit, or there would be a date for you to show up on court. At the court you would have the opportunity to dispute the debt. Then the judge would give his decision. If they won they would get a judgement against you. That is how you get a judgement. If you don't show up, they get a default judgement. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED. THIS IS A SCAM. THERE WAS NO COURT DATE AND THERE IS NO JUDGEMENT. You really need to report these people to the Attorney General to start. I'm not really good with all the various places to file complaints but someone will be along to tell you exactly. DON'T TALK TO THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE. DON'T CALL THEM AND DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE IF THEY CALL YOU. You can sue them for FDCPA violations.
