I have posted before. It gets more interesting.I had a
credit card debt for, at most 1500.that was charged off by the original creditor in 1999.Providian First Select I have been paying through Consumer Credit counseling ever since that time $48.00/month.They (consumer credit counseling)have all the cancelled checks, i have the detailed payment history to all creditors from (ccc)them going back to then.
Credigy apparently purchased this account in 4/03.
Payments were continued.Credigy told me I will be sued and gave me Sharon & Lipshies'number. They hung up on me numerout times, told me no one need to provide balance and payment amount.That they cannot speak to me if I am going though a credit counseling agency because I have signed my rights away.They will not return the ccc's phone calls either. They will not
verify balance, or who they are collecting for. Told me charge off only means I am a bad debt and i owe past interest since 1999, of 19% and they could sue me now regardless of complete payment history. I have been speaking to "claims adjustors" at this "law firm" only. Anyone have any advice? I don't know my rights, and consumer credit counseling keeps losing people, new people pick up my account, and don't know what to do.
