Thanks for the answer.
Here is my situation. I had a credit card account charge off sometime in 1998. In 2000 the account was sold to a collection agency. What your telling me is that this collection agency could only sue up until 2002??

Also, I talked to the Consumer Credit Counseling Organization and they are telling me that I can get the collection agency's record removed from my account if I provide the credit bureau of proof that that the account is past SOL... Any thoughts on this?

One more thing... The original creditor does NOT show up on any of the 3 credit bureau reports.
