I have a question and hope someone here can answer it. I originally owed Fleet and then fleet sold the account the First Select. I contacted First Select and set up a payment plan and paid it down to $7,000. During Nov I did not recieve a bill and on my credit report it stated that the count was closed. I then tried to contact them and the number I had was disconnected. Didn't give it a whole lot of that after that. Suddenly in Feb I noticed an $11,000 debt that was in collection. I finally got a hold of the creditors and they said that the extra amount was intrest since I didnt pay them. I couldn't pay them because I didnt know who they were and that they had my account. Do I have any recourse?
