I believe you are possibly confusing 2 different issues. A$$H*L@ is a CA under the Federal FDCPA and you have protection in Wash. State under THAT law, however, you apparently filed a complaint under Wash. laws for ?? If the State of Wash. for the purpose of upholding IT'S laws does not consider a debt BUYER to be a CA, then you filed the wrong kind of complaint.It is possible/probable that Wash. has Unfair Business Practices Statutes, or other similar laws that you might have filed on for STATE infractions, but unless you file for FDCPA infractions, you may not be able to sue them as a CA.

By the way, since you have also posted regarding Tx laws, are you in Tx or in Wash.?
