Well, in the first hearing I appeared to dispute the charges, and the plaintiff's lawyer appeared also. So, the judge said that they needed to file a Bill of Particulars and submit it by a certain date, and I had to file a Grounds of Defense to be submitted by a certain date, and then we'd have a new trial. They filed the Bill, and I replied with my Grounds of Defense, but on the trial date, I showed up, but they didn't, claiming that the attorney was ill. They faxed the court 5 minutes after the case was to be tried, but I was never notified beforehand.
