My wife & I are professional people. She incurred a debt very long ago & thought it was long behind her (she'd even forgotten about it). My credit score is in the mid 700's & she's not far behind.

Now--she keeps looking @ me with tears in her eyes & apologizing...I hate them for that. We try not to worry--& hope SOL will make them go away (I'll mail the letter within a couple days...wanna make sure I do everything right first).

As for me...in my youth I was strong (6'4" 270lb weight lifter), but worry has always been my achilles heal. Time & my genetic clock have weakened me...worn me down, and I'm not the man I once was.

My mother died @ 56 -- my aunt @ 56 -- & my grandfather @ 56 (it's a number we dread--although I'm not there yet).

High blood pressure & cholesterol are my genetic curse (something will eventually get us all, and this will be the cause of my demise). When somebody starts yelling @ me "where's your wife sir" I can't help but get upset.

If making me sick & worrying my wife is their goal...they've succeeded--I don't see how that's going to get them $2,452.90 though.
