If your name is on an account as primary, they can garnish it. They are not supposed to but sometimes they do. It is almost impossible though to get it back. Texas is a community property state and depending on the type of account and how it is worded, they can go after your husband's banking account. I would get someone else other than your spouse as primary on your checking account and go cash and carry for a while.

They cannot take his wages and your home is safe but they can take any recreational vehicles or any other assets you might have.
