Well, here's my two-cents worth: I make my living from computers, but I would never rely on electronic communications until the laws of each and every state catch up with it. Never trust email over good old-fashioned courier services, be it USPS, UPS, FedEx, or what have you. You're better off paying the kid down the block to hand-deliver a message than try to prove someone got an email. At least you can get the kid to testify in court!
