I have a charge-off from Bank One too and it was taken over by MRS. If you don't do this settlement letter, they will just send you a new one next month, and the month after that, offering you new deals.(basically the same deals with new dates,lol)So far I've just ignored them, letters and phone calls-they quit calling as of now. I guess if you can do a settlement, its worth a shot but I wouldn't trust them not to resell it later.
