Sol Or Validate - Help Anyone

I live in Calif. and I have a CA that is trying to collect on an SOL account. I sent a Validate letter after Opting Out. My goal is to delete fron CRA. Would sending the SOL letter make it more difficult to use the "not mine defense" with the CRA's?
