I am in IL and the car was bought in Florida and totaled there in 1997. It was apparently taken to the junkyard or back to the dealership to strip for parts probably. The funny thing is they took a copy of his state ID! If it went ot court I would just get DMV record showing he had no license at the time of purchase and that would be the end of them! I just can't believe it would cause us to not be able to use his credit.
