You are beyond SOL. It defaulted 6 months prior to charge off date of 11/99 so the SOL start date was 5/99- which means your SOL was over 5/2002.

Any "negotiations" you do now will HURT your credit more than help it.

First, Opt Out, next wait a few weeks, delete old addresses and send a dispute to the CRA's disputing this account as "incorrect, no record of this account for these dates from this creditor".

IF the account is verified,which it may not be, then send the SOL letter from my website to the verifying CA.

You need to get this OFF your reprts to improve your scores and your mortgage interest rates.
If you "settle" on an account that is 2 years away from dropping off your reports, and is almost 2 years past the legal collection time, all you will do is CEMENT it to your report and risk having the balance sold to another CA who will report it for another 7 years.
