Once he has a judgement against you, he can legally subponea you to court to disclose your assets, banking info, employmnt. The whole works. However, there are limits to what he can seize. http://www.bankruptcyaction.com/bankruptcyexemptions.htm Find your state to see what your exemptions are. This is a bk site, but exemptions are the same for a judgement. The creditor can choose to put a lien on your home (if it is not exempt) garnish your wages (if your state allows it)seize your bank account. If there is a judgement against you, get your money out of the bank NOW. No telling when the creditor may strike. Best to be prepared. If you file bk, you can ask your attorney to have the judgement vacated. In that case, the creditor gets nothing. Good Luck
