Why do you consider that to be a threatening call?? Simply because they asked you to have your attorney call them?? I would not do that at all. I would call them up personally and ask them what the problem is, (as if you didn't already know) and promise them an immediate payment. Get them up to date at least by making the required minimum payment even if you have to borrow the money somewhere to do it. It's obvious you are not using your credit cards very wisely. One should never charge more on a credit card than one can pay off in full at the end of each and every month. Pay your credit card off in full before you even pay your rent or anything else. You can always go to any atm machine and get all your money back within about 3 days max anyway, so why not pay them off every month. You need to work to the point where you have at least 6 or 8 credit cards and use each one for only a week and switch to a new card and put all the money you spend on each card in a savings account so it will draw interest on the money you have already spent. Pay it off in full on time and you will earn good money on the interest and build great credit in a hurry.

: Yesturday I got a call from one of my credit cards, that my roommate answered. They told my roommate to have my lawyer call them back. I only owe 1,200 bucks on the card and am just over the 30 days late. Is this just a ideal threat or should I be worried? I haven't gotten anything in the mail about it. Thanks
