After they have confirmed an item once, you have to be careful, and go slow to avoid getting their attention. If you dispute an account repeatedly within a short period of time, they may flag you as attempting credit repair, and then ignore your subsequent disputes as "firvolous and irrelevent." Wait six months, then dispute some other negative account (if you have other negative items on your credit report.) Never dispute more than two or three items at a time. If you don't have any other negative items, then maybe dispute this one again, without mentioning your previous dispute. If, by chance, this item really is an error, then you should immediately ask Equifax for the name and contact info of whoever (at the creditor) confirmed the disputed item, and then you should call or write that person and explain the situation.
