Check the information elsewhere on this site concerning statutes of limitations (SOL). If there's been no activity on this card in 12 years, it certainly would seem to be way past any SOL. Collection agencies sometimes buy up post-SOL debts and try to collect on them, but there's basically nothing they can do.
