I had an account through Citibank. It then went to a collections agentcy.(National Financial Services, NY) When I send a check to show payment, they sent it back to me with a letter stating that they could not accept check due to account being paid in full. I said okay....then one other legit collection agentcy contacted me and I mailed and faxed a copy of check and letter. Never heard from anybody until a 1 year later. I have been harassed and lied to by Schreiber and Associates, PC-Danvers, MA who is hired by Unifund. I have two copies of a credit report. (keep in mind my citibank was in 2001) One in March 2003 states the DLA on the account was 03/01. Then I have a copy of another done in September, when I started being harassed by S & A-
Unifund changed my DLA on my credit report to state 08/03. !!!!!! Totally illegal to do that. It drops the SOL down a couple of more years so they can harass me more. I am in the middle of fighting this as I speak. ( just double checked my two credit reports last night)
Any words or thought PLEASE email me ASAP. I could use it!!!!!!!!!!!!
