Your questions are valid, but your premise is not. If your GF and PO box are in another State from where you are living, (utility bills notwithstanding) then you are still a legal resident of that State for the purpose of filing suit.

If you have moved to a SHORTER SOL State, and wish to avoid being sued in a LONGER SOL State, you need to make the required changes on your mailing address.
