Because they make you sign for a 3 year contact, making periodic payment. They don't care if you use it or not -- they want you to pay for it. What was the term "Kleptocracy"? You sign promising to pay the whole amount -- unless a doctor deems you medically unfit, you or the club move 25(?)miles away from nearnest unit. It is probably Balley's and they sold the contract to Household. I believe there was a class action on this at one time.
