Unfortunately, that is not the case. Maybe I am reading your post wrong, but it sounds like you had two MBNA accounts with both having 24k credit lines.. It looks like you settled one account with an account that MBNA still owned.. The other account was most likely written off as an uncollectable debt and sold to a 3rd party Collection agency.. Where they now own the debt, they can set there own Settlement amount.. Hope everything works out ..
