I don't really agree with computerguy. First do send the rejection of arbitration letter. It has been said they W & A ignore these letters. They have been known to get arbitration awards in spite of sending the letter stating your refusal. That is your first plan of action. Second, be prepared for the worst. It may not ever happen, but protect your assets NOW. Change bank accounts so that they do not have your banking info. (if you EVER paid with a personal check, they have your info) If they don't have your current employment, don't let them get it. I am going to give you two links. One is bk and judgement exemptions (what they can't take) and the other is the letter to refuse arbitration. I had about 10 cards, all charged off. Only one sued, and I was able to quickly file chapter 7 because I got legal advicehttp://www.bankruptcyaction.com/bankruptcyexemptions.htm early on. http://whychat.5u.com/arbltr.html Sending a validation letter for an account that is within SOL is not a good idea. You are more likely to be sued. Good Luck.
