Anybody ever heard of this "Law Firm"? Got a letter from them today saying they are collecting for their client, Midland Credit Mangement, Inc. (Which has been trying to collect on a debt from 2001 for a Spiegel account). Can this really happen? I know Midland bought the debt from Spiegel (FCNB), so does this mean that Hayt, Hayt & Landau have purchased the debt from Midland? Should I be worried? I'm in Florida and the law firm is also in Florida. The total amount owed is around $3500.00.
