Airics, the car was totalled and taken to a salvage yard in SC. I bought it 2 yrs prior to the accident in MI and then I moved to SC, never changing the registration or the insurance info. The accident was my fault and no other drivers were involved. I was given three tickets: Driving too fast for conditions, no insurance and expire out of state tag - I paid all three and I have no points on my license.

FMC told me they would total the car, salvage it, and bill me the difference - but I never heard from them after I called them to tell them what happened. I only heard from this bogus CA a couple of years later.

All three reports showed Charge Off in 1999 for this and now Experian shows Repo in 2004. I don't know what the others show, but FMCC has provided false info. To my knowledge, they never insured the car, they never sent me any letters about insuring the car and they never sent anyone to SC to check out the car, but it was a complete loss.

Why Chat, is FMC breaking the law? Can I sue them? Thanks for all of your advice.
