I live in Pennsylvania. This paper was delivered to my my home with a court date of September 2004. I was to respond within 10 days, but contacting a lawyer, I did not do so. The lawyer sent another letter giving me another 10 days, or I would be in default and risk of judgement. I was looknig through the yellow pages for a lawyer, saw that some can help with consolidation, bankruptcy, etc. I dont know what to do. I work, make about $4000 per month before taxes and am determined to clean this debt up. I have put this off too long and made a big mistake. The charge cards have been charged off, credit attorney has contacted me on one and other groups like NOrthland have contact me also. I do not want to declare bankruptcy as a I have a car loan and dont want to lose my car. Can a lawyer help without declaring bankruptcy. Thank you so much. Pam
