ps im glad both ur kids r ok...but why is he on a checking account with no income? lol. i would take that off real quick. cause its considered the sons account. but..no ..i dont see how anyone else but the son is responsible. they should let him pay it off even like 5$ a month on medical. a good lesson for him to learn too. medical emergencies ruin even the best of us. get a itemized bill! they pad those like u have no idea. stuff he didnt have done..10$ a tylenol..etc. always have a itemized bill with payments frm the insurance. im talking item by item too. they hate doin it but they must by law. i dont see they can do anything to the father..doesnt matter where he lives. cept the checking account appears as the sons. they may question why a kid with no assets and no income has a ton of money in a bank..and it would count against him getting any indigent help too. its his asset as well. good luck! check on indigent help in ur county also...
