What was repossessed and when? When was it repossessed? Where you informed of all proceedings? This sounds like it could be passed SOL. What state are you in. Give us more specific details. Never a good idea to pay a CA. There is a lot of psychology in debt collection. CAs will lie and threaten. Often times, do not have the legal right to sue even when the "turn it over to legal". One of their favorite phrases! Sounds like there is a good chance you don't have to pay them a dime and they can't do anything about it. Give us more details.
