WHOA !!! I am NOT a fan of "validation" except in cases where the debt is NOT yours, or there is a question of the validity of the claim for other reasons.

I suggest NO validation until the account is beyond SOL, at that point I suggest either the SOL letter or the validation/dispute/cease and desist letter.

There are many people who use the "validaion" proccess proactively to obtain leverage for deletion from credit reports, piling up real or technical "violations" to file suit against CA's.

I seldom suggest a lawsuit against a CA, and only as a countersuit to enable someone to recoup their legal costs.

There are many on this forum and others who believe in filing suits for violations, and they are correct in their positions as to the legal rights of consumers.
