For the student loans, I would use parent's address and get a deferrment. Or, open a bank account online, pay online if you can. Don't know if that is possible since I never tried it. Sounds like it might be a good possibility though. As for the credit cards, your credit is already trashed, and there is not much you can do about it. I would suggest doing absolutely nothing. Paying CAs only prolongs the agony (bad stuff on your credit report) http://whychat.5u.com/States/state-ari.html http://whychat.5u.com/States/state-nm.html The SOL in Arizona is only 3 years. That means that after 3 years, they can not legally collect. SOL in NM is 4 years. Sounds like your accounts have already been charged off and assigned or sold to CAs. They don't know where you are, and don't let them find out. When you move back to the states, pay your Canadian credit cards, somehow, online if necessary. Use those cards for a few years until you can start to rebuild American credit. Don't apply for any new American credit when you get back. Don't even look at your credit report. Don't let them get any updated info. You should be OK. Good Luck.
