Well, you made the promise to pay so it appears you have the ability to pay, but at the last second pulled back and told them to go screw themselves.
If I were the CA and was looking for a sure thing, I would sue you. It seems like you got the money so why not.
Dont get me wrong, I feel for you, but you set yourself up when you let them smell the money.
Maybe they wont sue, but they know you have the ability to pay.
