Hi, far as I can tell, you are within SOL in Kansas 5 years, but not in California, 4 years. However, you can be sued in Kansas since that is where the contract was signed. The next part is tricky and I am going to solicit help from those here that are far more knowledgeable than me. Since the boat and truck were collateral for a cash loan, I don't know the law regardng their repossession, or even if the word applies in this case. I have to go back and read your original post again. Then ask for help. Then see if I can give you any more advice.
