i think it depends on the company you deal with. i have offers up to 70% off but because of the interest..fees and such thats not even close to the original amount i owed. to settle one sure has to be careful and know what one is doin. good luck to u! to me, its smarter of a company to work with the consumers to pay a debt off instead of settling or selling it, but i dare say the tax write-off isnt condusive to them doin that.
