Creditors and collectors hear the bk threat dozens of times a day. Last year nearly 1.7 million people actually filed. A very small percentage. They can look at your credit report and conduct an asset search and see if your threat is viable. Don't threaten to bk unless, you really intend to go through with it. All kind of ways to find out if you're bluffing.
