Hi there! I am assuming you are going to be settling with the original credit card company and not a collection agency. Would you mind posting what credit card company your are going to begin negotiating with and for what "round-a-bout" amount the debt is? Also, when was your last payment to them? (Month and year)And are you behind or current on other credit issues that are noted on your credit report? In my experience, the 3 I settled with were more eager to settle within 3weeks of charge-off. (approx 40% each) Alot of factors go into how much they will settle for. Remember, you can negotiate over the phone, but never settle/pay without your terms in writting from them first. Don't take their word for squat! Give more info and I will try to help ya! :) MOM

PS..hello again everyone!
