ALthough the cas would like to think otherwise, everyone is subject to the same rule of law. Each state has its own laws- some require notification to the garnishee (person who is losing the money) and others may not.

Suggest you do this- pretend you are the one trying to collect and go about researching the procedure. That way you will know what your options will be if that becomes an issue.
