Hi, we have a bunch of credit cards that are delinquent due to our inability to pay them right now and only one ,right now (my wife's card and between us, she is the only one employed), DISCOVER Card is threatening to go ahead and forward on to an attorney for obtaining a judgement.

The deadline they gave us to work out a "payment arrangement" was feb 20th, does anyone know or have experience with how long it would take them to get an attorney, file a judgement, win it and be able to garnish wages? 3 months, 6 months, a year, etc?

We will probably have to file a B7 but would like to wait it out to see if there's any hope we can pay them off.

If anyone has had experience with a Discover Card judegemnt, I greatly appreciate their help. thank you

Pat
