Almost right Tazi--
If you send out validation requests and your credit report indicates you have assailable assets or garnishable wages, then you will likely be sued, IF they can produce sufficient documentation for their case.

In the case of NCO etc. I do not know of any of these type of bottom feeders who buy any debts that are within SOL, so you were likely out of SOL, or your credit reports indicated there were no assailable assets.
