Your daughter is less than a year from SOL of this debt. She should sit tight, ignore attorney. Chances are good that she will not be sued because she probably has nothing they can take from her if they do sue. If sued, she can file bk. There is a lot of psychology in debt collection. You are a good father for trying to help and the attorney will pick up on this, knowing that you will bail your daughter out. This debt is not really hers, IGNORE IT AND LET THE SOL RUN. GOOD LUCK. Maybe somebody else will give you the legal side, but there really isn't much they can tell you. CAs and CA attorneys often violate FDCPA.
