I see it every day on lots of peoples credit reports. If you pay them IT DOES DONT IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE. The bank looks at it this way--there would not be collections on your report if you were responsible! The fact that they are there means you were irresponsible. Paying them does not make your past irresponsibility any more palatable from the banks standpoint in most cases.

I am not saying this is right, I am just saying this is how it really is.

I am not advocating anyone not pay their bills, I just believe we should use the limited protection the law allows us consumers to the fullest advantage.

Belive me Cat! I am on your side! Almighty HELL will literally freeze over before I ever pay any collections agency a single red cent.

As my Granny used to say " I wouldn't PI$$ on them, if they were on fire"
