It takes a lot of courage to sit in the defendant's seat. I had two years toward a JD (from many moons ago), and I still felt some trepidation going into this. Even six stints as a juror and jury foreman didn't quite prepare me. I can only imagine how intimidating this must be for someone with *no* experience with the legal system.

But that's what these jackasses count on. Fear is their greatest weapon. If only most people knew that it's smoke and mirrors!
