They can try just about anything, but they have to get a judgement first. Sometimes, if you live in a non garnishment state, Texas, comes to mind, if they can convince a judge that you will take the money out of the bank in order to avoid paying your debt, they can have accounts frozen. That is something I have read about here. Ounce of prevention.
